Another composition that a photographer my use is "perspective", that is to say showing the size of the subject in the scene. The photograph of the Marjorie Glacier in Glacier Bay National Park is ok. It was taken from our Princess cruise ship as it made a 360 degree turn in front of the galcier. I was hoping for something to show the size of this huge chunk of ice when I spotted a 40 foot fishing boat chugging along between our cruise ship and the glacier. I could not have asked for a better scene. With the fishing boat next to the glacier a viewer can see that the glacier is over a hundred feet high. The boat put the glacier in perspective.
